  • The two are facing life in prison and Raniere has been denied bail by the court, with more indictments to come according to prosecutors

  • Raniere has entered a plea of not guilty on all charges, while Mack did not enter a formal plea yet as she is still negotiating a possible plea deal

Allison Mack and Keith Raniere are both facing lengthy prison sentences after being indicted on multiple counts of sex trafficking, charges which all stem for their treatment of young women in Nxivm.

A new story in The Hollywood Reporter details how these young women quickly found themselves a part of Raniere's harem, and were ordered to make drastic changes in their lives to please the cult leader.

The biggest change for many was their diet, with Raniere limiting the girls to just 900 calories a day, while his expanding waist line was seen as his 'sacrifice for humanity, since he did not have time to work out.

A former member of Nexivm said that if Raniere cannot get an erection he will often blame the woman he is with, saying that her weight had turned him off from sex.

She also said he told his followers that Oprah Winfrey was 'not an ethical human being because she is fat.'

Raniere, who also requested that his female lovers have a thick and grown out pubic hair, had Mack oversee the women and monitor them at all times according to one former member.

'These slaves said Mack was incredibly intimidating, cruel and punitive,' one woman told THR.

That same woman also claimed that Mack 'threatened to release the collateral she had gathered on them if they didn’t sleep with Raniere.'

The woman added: 'She berated them and told them they were worth nothing, that they were weak and couldn’t uphold their word.'

She also told the woman they had made a 'lifetime vow' and warned them that they would be 'destroyed' if they tried to leave the cult.

Unlike Raniere, Mack had also put herself on the same strict diet as the women in her 'slave pod.'
