Opposition Party MFK Wants Parliament To Be Involved In Corruption Investigation
WILLEMSTAD - The leader of the opposition party MFK, Gerrit Schotte wants an emergency meeting in Parliament to discuss the situation at the public company Refineria di Korsou, Curaçao Refinery (RdK).
Yesterday, the Supervisory Board of the RdK announced in an official press release that there, director Roderick van Kwartel and two other members of the management team were sent on a mandatory leave of absence to await the results of an investigation into corruption.
According to Schotte, it is important for the real representatives of the people to be involved in this investigation. The MPs are the ones elected by the people to investigate and to know exactly what is taking place in that public company.
